Extra Credit:

Bonus opportunities for self-motivated learners to ace their agility handling and achieve their performance goals.

About ECA

Extra Credit Agility offers a variety of learning resources and workshops for new puppy owners and dog agility competitors alike. In 2025, we added course design and agility judging (UKI) to our repertoire! Kelly’s also pursuing her AKC judging license in 2026, so stay tuned.

ECA’s core goals include:

  • Enhance communication between dogs and their humans, whether you’re at home or in the agility ring

  • Empower dogs and humans to succeed with fun and growth-oriented training

  • Encourage agility handlers to better-understand their own learning styles and elevate their performance mindsets

As implied by our name, Extra Credit Agility is intended to be a supplementary resource for self-motivated handlers who already have their own regular trainers/classes but want something “extra” to fill in any knowledge or skills gaps in their training and competition regimes.

About Kelly (Founder of ECA): Kelly is a community college professor with a Master’s degree in Communication Studies (emphasis in instructional communication), 8+ years of experience in teaching and instructional design, and 16+ years of experience as a competitor, coach, and judge for speech and debate tournaments around the world. As a former junior handler who originally quit agility in 2008 for financial reasons, Kelly’s particularly passionate about making agility more accessible and affordable for all. Since returning to dog agility in 2018, Kelly has successfully competed in AKC, ISC, UKI, and USDAA with her border collies Stark and Alibi.
